About Us
I am one of those that was very intimidated by what I perceived to be my lack of wine knowledge and it hindered my exploration of wine until my mid 30’s. I quickly realized I missed out on a lot of enjoyment and wished I started my experiences with wine earlier.
I began my journey with wine when I took a job starting a wine division at a large, nationally recognized distributor in Colorado. Before that, I only had experience with spirits. I had reservations, but jumped in with both feet. That was about 12 years ago. Since then, I have had the opportunity of travelling the world visiting wineries, meeting wine makers and winery owners, tasting thousands of wines and learning about the process of winemaking from vineyard to bottle, and working with retailers and restaurateurs in the process of getting the wine in the hands of consumers to enjoy.
I by no means pass myself off as an expert on wine and am always learning more each day. It is my wish in all this to help the beginner get over that initial ”intimidation” factor, which is so unnecessary, to make wine ”Approachable” by them and to share with those who have intermediate knowledge in order to broaden their enjoyment of wine.
Wine should be “Approachable” by everyone.
